A Chair For Yoga

On public holiday, Tuesday, 1 July 2014 we dedicate the whole day to "A Chair For Yoga". Enlighten yourself by discovering how a chair can be used for much more than sitting on.

Schedule of Classes

10:00am - 11:30am Chair Yoga - Opening Your Chest Ursula
12:00pm - 1:30pm Chair Yoga - Unwinding the Body Ushie
4:00pm - 5:30pm Chair Yoga - Quietening the Mind Kitty
5:45pm - 7:15pm Chair Yoga - Pranayama George
7:30pm - 9:00pm Chair Yoga - Healthy Back George


Opening Your Chest: students will work on backward extending poses to open their chest.

Unwinding The Body: students will work on some twisting poses and learn how to extend the range and duration of the poses safely.
Quietening The Mind: students will work on quiet poses with head support which can help to relax the body and quieten the mind.
Pranayama: students will experience the art of breathing with using chair support.
Healthy Back: students will work on poses to strengthen the back and increase flexibility. The class focuses on the shoulders, neck and the back.
